Why you should book me to take your branding photography…

N O W  P L A Y I N G // ‘Warm with you’ by Hayden Calnin

Building a brand is a strange beast. It’s the force of your greatest ideas, your biggest aspirations and your favourite aesthetic pushing against the daily realities of making it work. Putting yourself out there to provide a product or a service for other people is a huge deal and not only do you want your photography to reflect that, you need it to do that. Having the right kind of images to tell the story of your brand is vital. There’s no doubt that it’s a huge labour of love, and your imagery should support you to take your people with you.

Your branding photography tells your story. Everything you’ve built and worked for, right here in these pictures.

One of my favourite things about working on brands is learning about the journey. It just never gets old for me - from the people who are at the very beginning, writing their first social media post, feeling the combination of adrenaline and pure vulnerability, to the people who are way down the line and have built something incredible.

If it’s feeling a bit messy, like you’re just about hanging in there and having someone see the behind the scenes is a bit intimidating, then know that I get it. Over the past 18 years I have worked my way up to being an Assistant Headteacher, returned to uni to study for an MFA and am turning forty now leaning into the next part of my story. Messy doesn’t cover it, but the joy of every little win reminds me it’s the right path for me at this time. You’ll be amazed at how we can work together to get you the images you need.

I know that flexibility is key and this is a creative partnership. Maybe you know exactly what you want, or maybe you don’t have a clue what you need. Before we do the shoot, we’ll talk about your brand values and how we can best use the time we have to reflect them for you. Where possible, we’ll have a pre-meet in the location, so we can walk some ideas through together.

Getting you in the shots is vital. You might not have a preference for being in front of the camera, but this really is your story, it can’t be told without you. I’ve got you -  we’ve all been on your side of the camera. I understand how challenging it is to let someone else handle the way your identity is presented to the world. I’ll work with you to support that process and make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Of course, it’s important to pop the perspective of a client - so here’s a review. If you’d like to see more, pop over and follow my socials - @ sjburtonphotography and join me for the ride.

“Sarah was a joy to work with on this. We were immediately at ease and had to keep reminding ourselves to stop nattering and laughing and get back to the job in hand. I often looked round to find her on the floor, setting up a scene. She worked with purpose, focus and vision and got stuck in and cared about each shot. Most importantly, Sarah connects intellectually with the subject and their story and uses her technical knowledge to bring these elements together.”
