Branding photography that brings people with you.

Branding photography taken in your element.

Whether you’re building your business photography from scratch, or you’re ready to refresh and renew, choosing the right photographer is a big decision.

Working with me is about so much more than booking a photoshoot. It’s the choice to enter into a creative partnership - one that meets you where you are and leaves you with imagery that reflects the passion and drive you have for what you do.

My first step when planning any branding photography project is making sure we build a strong connection from the start. For you, that looks like immediately being able to breathe out because you know you’re in a safe pair of hands. For me, it’s about understanding your vision, listening to what you need, and being open about any challenges we might need to work around. We move together through the process to create a gallery we will both love.

“Like many people I'm sure, I hate having my picture taken and wasn't looking forward to the shoot itself. But from the very start, I laughed, and opened up and felt relaxed and totally trusted what Sarah was doing. The result? The most beautiful gallery of images that I don't even remember Sarah taking, because I just immersed in my work and the conversation, she really is a magician!”

After years of deep research, and from being a woman in the world, I know that putting yourself out there can feel like a much bigger thing than simply having your photograph taken.

You can be completely confident in your business and still feel uncomfortable being the person people are looking at. For many of us, there’s a lot wrapped up in how we see ourselves and how we think we’re supposed to look, particularly when those photographs are going to represent us professionally.

If you know it’s time to update your brand photography but you’re avoiding the idea of being visible, then you’re in the right place. When you choose to work with me, you’re booking more than a time slot in front of a camera. We’ll work together to create photographs that feel like you, give you a say in how you’re represented and help you feel comfortable being seen. Because if you’ve built something you’re proud of, you deserve to be visible in it.

“Sarah’s enthusiasm, warmth and incredibly positive energy are truly infectious. She has a wonderful ability to make everyone feel comfortable and confident, and her passion for what she does really shines through. The result speaks for itself - the photographs are absolutely amazing and capture exactly what we hoped for.”

From the first coffee to the final gallery, I’m here to walk with you through the branding photography process.

Together we will

  • work out what you actually need to give your branding photography life.

  • make a (flexible) plan so we’re moving in the same direction but with space to adapt.

  • choose locations, timings, outfits and props.

  • evaluate what kind of images will be useful across your website, social media and marketing.

  • make the most of the time you have, because I know you’re busy.

  • keep things moving so this doesn’t become just another enormous job on your list.

  • make sure there’s plenty of variety in your images so you have your own personal stock gallery to utilise.

  • pull together a gallery where you recognise yourself and everything you have achieved so far.

Avoiding stock imagery - build your own bank of pictures that tell your story, not the outcome of generic google search.

Keeping consistency through your website, marketing and socials - help people to recognise your brand every time they see it.

Lifting the mental load of constantly trying to create content - it’s a lot. Hire me to help you put together a library of content that will mean you’re free to focus on other things. You’ll move from spending your time looking for something that might work, to having a raft of images that will.

Why great branding photography will always be worth it.

Building a business and raising a home team?

As a mum building a business, I know that sometimes we just need someone who's prepared to give that extra bit of flex to make things work. After sixteen years in teaching and with two small boys, I went back to uni to study for an MFA and then made a complete career change. I’m bringing my camera to the table, but I’m also bringing a whole load of lived experience with it.

There are days when the business has to fit around the rest of life, rather than the other way round. I know what it's like to be building something you really believe in whilst trying to keep everything else afloat. I’m not going to pretend I’ve found the secret, but I do understand that sometimes a little extra flexibility, whether in thinking, planning or timing, makes all the difference.

“Sarah was a joy to work with on this. We were immediately at ease and had to keep reminding ourselves to stop nattering and laughing and get back to the job in hand. I often looked round to find her on the floor, setting up a scene. She worked with purpose, focus and vision and got stuck in and cared about each shot. Most importantly, Sarah connects intellectually with the subject and their story and uses her technical knowledge to bring these elements together.”

“Sarah did a brand shoot for my business. We chatted a bit via instagram DM's and then met for a coffee and a chat before the shoot to talk through the vibe and aesthetic I was looking for. I really felt like she 'got' what Hannah Weston Jewellery was about - Sarah is so down to earth and coming from a teaching back ground like myself we got on (get on!) really well.

When she arrived on the day of the shoot, the first thing she did was take her shoes off - I loved that! She'd made herself at home and she just cracked on, taking pictures while I worked.

There was a lot of laughter - a couple of times she had to ask me to dial down the joy so she could take a pic - I think that says it all - it was so much fun! Highly recommend Sarah. Thank you for such wonderful photos lovely lady.”
