Why partnership is at the heart of all branding photography sessions

My partnership with Hannah has grown over the last couple of years, as our own businesses have grown too. When we first met, we bonded straight away over our previous careers as teachers, and the experience of leaving a system to set up on your own. We’ve worked together several times and each time the experience has become more collaborative, more experimental and more fun.

Hannah’s business has grown incredibly over that time and her decisions about aesthetic have changed in the time I’ve known her. So much of what we’ve achieved together in her most recent photography has come from the power of experimentation and creating an environment where we both know we can say, hang on, that’s not working, or it’s not what I was thinking. It’s important I think, to acknowledge that collaborating well doesn’t mean we have to be the same. It’s much more about bringing all parts to the table and finding which ones fit together.

It’s so much more than product photography to me, it’s the privilege of being a part of helping to tell Hannah’s story, in a way that she can really see herself and everything she’s achieved.

Here are some images from our most recent studio session.
